About Us
Grantshouse -

The Web Site's History - This web site presents the history of a village, Grantshouse in the Scottish Borders and introduces the people who live here and describes their way of life today.

It was established in 2001 for the benefit of residents, visitors and our friends around the world who are interested our village.

Grantshouse may be a small village - approximately 200 residents - but is a thriving rural community and certainly lives up to it's description, 'The tiny village with a big heart and a warm welcome!'' Visitors and incomers are always welcomed and encouraged to join in our village activities.

As the web site is frequently updated, information is usually added rather than removed, so as time went by it became necessary to consign some pages to an archive section.

Who says we don't have a sense of humour!

Although this made it easier to browse the site, it also increased costs and the space needed on our server. As a result, in 2006, the web site was completely re-vamped, further updated and the archive pages removed and stored on CD for posterity. Copies will be available for sale to those who are interested - please see the 'What's for sale?' page.

Message Board - We have a message board where interesting topics concerning the village and it's history can be discussed and messages drawing attention to village events and new additions to the web site are displayed.
