south of Grantshouse, beside the A1 at Houndwood.
This charming cottage Tea
Room offers a warm welcome to local residents and travellers
alike!
There's ample parking space,
a secluded garden and the added attraction of the wonderful
fuchsia plants available from this specialist Grower from
Easter to September.

The charming
self-contained flat above the cafe is also available as a
quiet and homely
self-catering holiday home or if you prefer, enjoy the Bed and
Breakfast service available.
The Fuchsia Centre and tea
rooms are run by the Argent family, Les, Heather and Helen.
Les is the gardener
and always pleased to talk to visitors about fuchsias and help
them to make the right choice for their own garden.

| Whether
you want an tender, indoor plant for your greenhouse or a
hardy type to survive in all weathers, there
are over 10,000 varieties of fuchsia to choose from although not quite
all of them are here at Houndwood!
Heather is the cook and
provides delicious home made soups, toasties, scones, buns, cakes and
other goodies to go with freshly made teas or coffee and locally produced
honey is also or sale. |

Her daughter Helen has great
artistic talent and an eye for a charming variety of carefully
chosen gifts and curios.
They include garden tools &
decorations, accessories & greetings cards, candles,
toiletries, jewellery, glassware & china as well as a few
attractive hand knits and embroidered and felted items,
including her own 'Braw Bright Bootees' for babies!
