A 'Judge' and  a 'Champion'!

Both experienced and successful archers, Walter is a judge of Archery Competitions and Meg was the Scottish Indoor Archery Champion in 1997.

They have have both frequently taken part in National and International Archery Competitions too.

With Walter and Meg as their tutors, the members of the Grantshouse Archery Club are sure to become accomplished Archers and maybe winning competitions too before long!

How it all started - Walter and Meg enjoyed the sport so much they thought it might be a good idea to see if an Archery Club could be formed in Grantshouse.

In early summer notices were displayed in the village seeking a response to the idea and anyone interested could come along and have a go! This was so well supported over the last few weeks, that a meeting was held on Tuesday 1st August 2006 to elect a small committee and decide the membership fees.

The Community Trust and Community Council both agreed to give the Archery Club project their full support and donate the necessary funds for the purchase of essential equipment and initial hire of  bows, etc. for the Club to get started.

Membership Fees
Adults - £5.00 (6 months) - Under 18 years - £2.50 (6 months)
Target Fees: £1.00 per meeting
