The members of The Grantshouse Archery Club and East Berwickshire Archery Federation were  invited to take part in the Grantshouse Open Archery Championship on Sunday 29th August.

They met on the Grantshouse Club's range at Renton Haugh (by the kind permission of Mr and Mrs Ian Fleming).

This sheltered ground provides the perfect venue for archers and spectators alike and with the weather to match today, ensured a very enjoyable day's sport for everyone.

Starting at 10.00am, nineteen archers entered the competition.

With a break for a picnic by the riverside and a 'blether' over lunch!  The challenge continued in the afternoon.

The slide show below, features all the winners, the first to appear being the youngest competitor, Annie MacLean.

Many thanks to Walter and Meg who have once again organized a very enjoyable Championship for all who took part and a lovely event for the spectators who like me, just sit in comfort and look on in awe!
