The Art Club

The well known artist, sculptor, potter and Grantshouse village resident, Fred Carson, invited local art and painting enthusiasts  to join a twelve week painting course in the Grantshouse Village Hall.

Starting in the winter of 2001/02, his class was very well supported and has continued ever since!

'Fred Carson'

On the first day he told everyone that at the end of the course they would have an exhibition of their work in the Village hall and invite all their friends and everyone else in the village!

No one imagined that in just a few years they would have held several very successful exhibitions each year and became so popular that there are now two classes and exhibitions each year

The art classes are held every Friday, one in the morning and another in the afternoon.
